Briefly, the key points to my campaign are...

Intervention and prevention

     Many of the problems we face socially, financially and economically, can be prevented and reduced if there were systems in place that prevented problems arising before they happen.

Effective management and efficiency (not radical reforms and policies of politics)

     Politics is not just about radically reforming current systems to improve and make changes, or pumping billions into a problem to help it. Sometimes, just the smallest tweak can massively make a positive difference. The key is effective and efficient management. Its about implementing policies that have been properly thought out, including the potential problems and the real consequences of implementing those policies on how it affects the people.

Easy to understand politics, honesty and no jargon

     Many people have lost interest in politics due to the blur between parties and the fact they all seem to say the same thing to get our vote. What’s more, we often don’t even really understand what they are saying due to the political jargon they adopt. 

Bottom up ideas and input (getting the people more involved).

    The best ideas come from those who are directly affected by the issue, thus have experience and knowledge that no book could ever teach. If we look at modern ‘inventions’, many were created by the ordinary person who had experience and understanding of the problem directly.  I believe this can be the same with politics. All is needed is a synergy between the manager (the MP) and the people (those living in Gravesham) where two way communication is established to help develop and implement policies.

To have a relatable MP

    Gravesham deserves someone who has experienced ‘ordinary living’ and is in touch with modern thinking. Times are changing, and quickly. It is about time we had an MP that can keep up! We need one who is more representative than the ones currently sitting in the House of Commons.

I know that a lot of you will not have time to read it all, therefore I have included a summary and bullet points at the top of each section for quick knowledge, followed by a lengthy explanation into my thinking behind the issue for a detailed understanding.
